THE ELIEZER PROJECT adopted a new program to provide on a limited basis full or partial cash subsidies for the following purposes:

* Fees / tuitions for professional or vocational retraining programs,

  including the obtaining of advanced degrees or certifications. We feel

  this to be a particularly appropriate use of our resources since retraining

  or a professional upgrade can offer our clients new opportunities and

  significantly enhance the client’s earning potential. We are, in effect,

  co-investing with the client in his or her future, seeking to turn the client

  permanently into a former client.

* Premiums for low-cost (i.e., government-provided) health insurance;

* Emergency utility charges;

* Temporary children’s day-care services in connection with job searches.
